Skinware
This project, titled Skinware: The Body is the Interface, imagines fashion as a living system. not clothes we wear, but garments that grow, breathe, and respond with us. Using AI-generated couture, I explored how bioadaptive fabrics could react to hormonal shifts, emotions, and non-binary embodiment, dissolving the boundary between skin, technology, and clothing.
For me, this project was deeply personal. As someone navigating a gender-fluid identity with a unique XXY body map, I felt liberated to imagine garments that adapt to me rather than force me into categories. Creating Skinware was both a speculative and emotional act: a way to picture a future where fashion validates fluidity, where what we wear feels alive, glowing, and coded with our inner rhythms. It left me with a sense of possibility. that fashion could become an extension of self, not a mask over it.
