“Contact”

This project reclaims homoeroticism as a language of intimacy and ambiguity rather than explicit sexuality. Inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe, Ren Hang, and Warhol, I explored desire through gestures, glances, and near-touch — what’s felt more than what’s shown.

For me, this shoot was deeply personal. It allowed me to stage queer bodies in a way that resists labels, privileging tension and softness over categories. I felt both vulnerable and powerful watching these moments unfold: bodies not performing for the camera, but existing in a charged space of almost-contact. The work reflects my ongoing interest in desire as fluid, complex, and unresolved. a sensuality that lingers in the in-between.
